Vasudev, born in Mysore, is a leading and acclaimed artist.
Vasudev has experimented with various medium such as drawings, paintings, copper relief and tapestries and his unique subtle style is a rare visual treat.
His paintings are part of the collections at renowned museum and art galleries all over India, Including the Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad and the National gallery of Modern Art in Delhi. They also feature in several private collections the world over.
Vasudev has held solo shows in India, Canada, Germany and U.S.A. He has participated in several group exhibitions in India and abroad, including Contemporary Indian Show in Europe, and shows at the Paris Biennale. He has travelled to Britain, Canada, China, France, Germany and U.S.A as a cultural delegate, at the invitation of their governments.
Vasudev is the recipient of the Karnataka and Tamil Nadu State the National Lalit Kala Akademi awards. He is a founder member of the Cholamandal Artists Village, Chennai . He has done the art direction for the National Award-Winning Kannada films-Samskara and Vamsha Vriksha and has executed murals in Bengaluru, Chennai and New York.
